Abstract

This study investigates the effects of integrating Project-Based Learning (PjBL) with STEAM based student worksheets utilizing the eco-print technique on students' scientific reasoning and creativity. A quasi-experimental design was implemented with 160 high school students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group engaged in PjBL-STEAM activities, while the control group followed traditional instruction. Scientific reasoning was assessed using the Lawson Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning, and creativity was evaluated through structured questionnaires and observation sheets. The results revealed that the experimental group achieved significantly higher scores in scientific reasoning (84.743 vs.72.628) and creativity (82.573 vs. 70.398). The eco-print technique facilitated interdisciplinary learning by integrating science, art, and environmental studies, fostering students' ability to apply theoretical concepts in practical, collaborative projects. This study highlights the effectiveness of PjBL-STEAM in promoting critical 21st-century skills, with implications for enhancing educational practices. Further research is recommended to examine the long-term impacts of this innovative approach.
